A group of Colorado quantum companies, researchers, industry associations, and state officials are visiting Finland between November 14th and November 18th. The trip is part of the ongoing technology and science collaboration between the State of Colorado, and the Republic of Finland announced in February 2022.

The science and technology collaboration covers three industry areas: Aerospace, Green Economy, and Computing technologies, including Quantum technologies and High Performance Computing (HPC). This trip will allow quantum ecosystems in both regions to strengthen existing relationships and explore and discover new collaboration opportunities. In addition, state officials will have an opportunity to meet and plan for next phases of the relationship, including a conversation on Finland’s upcoming National Quantum Agenda.

During the week the delegation will visit VTT’s quantum computer and MICRONOVA, meet with members of InstituteQ and BusinessQ, and visit some of the most prominent Finnish quantum companies and investors. They will also attend a Business Finland Quantum Campaign launch event and a Business Finland New Space and Cybersecurity event, visit CSC, the host of European Union Joint-Undertaking LUMI HPC, and discuss with FARIA, the Finnish-American Research & Innovation Accelerator.

The week will end at Slush, the World’s Leading Startup Event.
