The demand for sustainable and renewable materials is increasing. We create new bio-based
materials viable for the circular economy and methods for manufacturing them more
efficiently.
We research alternatives to fossil-based plastics and develop bio-based
composites that combine properties of natural fibres and thermoplastic materials to create
novel materials for applications, including packaging, furniture and construction. We also
use foam-forming technology to create recyclable and sustainable materials that can be used
for applications such as packaging and construction, lightweight boards, wipes, filters and
hygiene products. Foam forming technology expands the range of raw materials and enables the
production of new, value-added structures. Our unique infrastructure includes multiple
piloting capabilities for these technologies.
