Every year we offer truly meaningful summer traineeships where you can challenge yourself and build your career in a multidisciplinary community of over 2300 brilliant minds from more than 55 different nationalities. At VTT, we transform global challenges – from climate change and resource sufficiency to industrial renewal and smart healthcare – into sustainable growth with the latest and best tools of science and technology. 

We offer summer traineeships in all our three business areas: Carbon neutral solutions, Sustainable products and materials, and Digital technologies. You can apply for multiple categories based on your study field, competence, and interest.

All VTT Summer of Changemakers traineeships are paid and full-time. The duration is usually between 3 and 6 months. The exact starting date and duration can be discussed. If you are moving from abroad to work at VTT for your summer traineeship, we will provide you with the necessary relocation support, such as immigration assistance, registration with the Finnish authorities, applying for a tax card and opening a bank account. We employ talent from all over the world and our staff consists of more than 55 different nationalities.
