The problem

1. Sustainability & consistency: Reliance on animal-based sources raises environmental, ethical, and supply chain concerns. These sources are also subject to variability in quality and availability, making consistent product output difficult to guarantee.
2. Scalability & cost: Existing animal-free technologies struggle with low yield, making them economically unviable for large-scale applications in cosmetics, nutraceuticals, and food.
