In an innovation competition arranged by Janssen and Johnson & Johnson Innovation, ideas and solutions are being sought for the Baby Box of the future, as health care processes are transformed by the digital revolution.
VTT is partnering in this initiative as a major innovation player and health technology expert that is seeking to promote health care reform and the adoption of digital services. Sitra and Tekes are the other Finnish partners in the competition.
"The innovation competition shows how highly rated Finnish health and medical care for children are internationally – the Baby Box is a prime example of this. This valuable Finnish asset will gain even more international attention via the project," says Key Account Manager Kari Kohtamäki of VTT.
"We regard technological innovations that support healthy growth of children as investments in the future; that is why they deserve a special effort," explains Kohtamäki. "We hope that students, researchers and companies bring bold ideas to the competition."
The winners will receive both financial support and expert sparring to help them take their ideas further.
The deadline for competition entries is 18 August
The competition will focus on the following innovation areas: promoting child health, detecting childhood illness and disease earlier, and facilitating healthy parenting.
