New brand signature for VTT: Technology for Business



From 1 January 2014 VTT will begin using the new signature Technology for Business as part of its branding. The signature reflects VTT’s new strategy emphasising the benefits and impact of research.

VTT has sharpened its strategy, focused its operations and renewed its organisation. This is to respond to competition in the domestic markets and to strengthen competitiveness in the changing operational environment both at home and abroad.

The new strategy places emphasis on a multitechnological approach and the benefits and impact of VTT’s research. Such outcomes are generated by combining multiple technologies and competencies – something that the new organisation supports – and serve to promote the business operations of VTT's customers and the well-being of society as a whole.

VTT's new organisation focuses research on three business areas: Knowledge-intensive products and services, Smart industry and energy systems, and Solutions for natural resources and the environment.
