​IEA Wind TCP 2016 Annual Report has been published. Technical Research Centre of Finland VTT was responsible for Finland's share and executive summary.

The IEA Wind TCP (International Energy Agency Wind Technology Collaboration Programme)  is a global network of researchers and policy experts focused on sharing the latest technology research and best practices to advance wind energy deployment. Participants include 24 member countries and sponsor organizations across Europe, North America, and Asia. Researchers and policy experts lead and participate in 15 research Tasks, addressing specific issues related to wind energy development. Finland is a member country of the IEA Wind TCP.

The IEA Wind TCP 2016 Annual Report highlights the work of the 15 cooperative research Tasks, as well as the research and deployment activities of the 24 member countries and sponsor organizations. The overview chapter provides an extensive summary of how member countries benefit from wind energy, how much wind power generation each country has deployed, and how policies and research programs increase wind power’s contribution to the world energy supply.
