Welcome to the Finnish Presidency-Quantum Flagship event which will take place on 17th and 18th of October in Helsinki. The event is dedicated to the Quantum Technology community, the Quantum Flagship as well as setting the Strategic Research Agenda, which will be presented and discussed among the community attending the event.
On July 1st 2019, and for the remaining of 2019, Finland took over the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. As part of its institutional and scientific agenda, it will be hosting the Quantum Flagship event entitled “Exploring and Making Quantum Technology” organized by the Finnish Presidency, Aalto University, VTT, the Academy of Finland and the Quantum Flagship.
The two-day event will be focused on two main topics:
- The first day will give an overview of the present and future of the Quantum Technologies landscape and underlying infrastructures in the framework on pan-European initiatives such as the Quantum Flagship and national and regional initiatives such as the Quantum Technology Finland.
- The second day will focus on the overall strategy of the Quantum Flagship, specifically on its Strategic Research Agenda and its related initiatives, inviting the community to actively participate and provide additional feedback to different aspects of the future goals.
