The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) and VTT have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Thursday, May 13th, 2016 in Otaniemi.
The agreement aims to increase research cooperation between Finland and Luxembourg in the areas of energy efficiency, bio economy and smart solutions.
Both organisations commit also to promoting joint projects in which it is possible to apply for funding from the EU Commission and the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme, in co-operation with industry.
The agreement was signed by the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology CEO Gabriel Crean and VTT President and CEO Antti Vasara.
The signing ceremony was also attended by the HRH Grand Duke of Luxembourg and his wife, Grand Duchess Maria Teresa. Their visit to VTT was part of a two-day state visit to Finland.
