Powering up Tomorrow's Health Care At the upcoming EMBEC'17 & NBC'17 event in Tampere we are presenting our latest research in the area of advanced patient monitoring for cardiovascular diseases. Many patients are at risk of serious complications during their recovery from a heart operation. Complications usually happen at home after the hospital care. MADDEC project uses AI and machine learning algorithms to integrate patient data, identify patients at risk of complications, and select those patients that benefit from additional monitoring at home. Our goal is to develop an evidence based decision support tool that helps improve management of cardiac disease patients based on actual and cumulated patient data.
