01/01/2013 00:00 - 01/01/2013 00:00

The Workshop will be held on 12–13 September 2013 at VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland. Address: KCL Auditorium of VTT, Tekniikantie 2, 02150 Espoo, Finland. The seminar is hosted by Finnish Transport Agency.

The primary aim of the workshop will be to share knowledge about traffic and road weather monitoring technologies and services, and to make it possible for the participants to exchange views and experiences with monitoring systems. The emphasis will be on sharing experiences of the technical performance, benefits and costs as well as good and bad practices in deployment. In 2013, an additional aim is to discuss the monitoring solutions required by the deployment of the priority action ‘c’ of the ITS Directive. Professionals working with monitoring issues and executive decision makers are the primary target groups.

Through participation you will:
- learn about the best practices on deployment of monitoring technologies and services
- get into contact with other people with the possibility to exchange views and experiences
- stimulate the discussions among experts
- be able to receive answers to your own problems and issues related to monitoring
