VTT develops raw materials for meatballs and falafel from mealworms and crickets

VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland has developed food ingredients from mealworms and crickets which, due to their promising structure and flavour, have the potential to be used in the manufacture of foods such as meatballs and falafel.



Wearable sensor device helps visually impaired to sense their environment

VTT has developed a wearable assistive device for the visually impaired, which enables them to sense their environment and move around more safely. The device, which is worn like a heart rate monitor, has been clinically tested.



Doctoral dissertation on chemical processes and material modelling

VTT Senior Scientist Risto Pajarre will defend his dissertation at Aalto University on 15 December 2016. The dissertation focuses on computational chemical thermodynamics, which is applied in a number of areas of chemistry and the related fields.
